Wedding Style:
Photojournalism, traditional, hybrid? All this photo mumbo–jumbo talk can make one crazy...
A photojournalistic style tells the story of your day in photos. From getting ready to leaving the reception. It documents your day without being too pushy, setting up a studio right there at the wedding or giving too much instruction.
Think of your parents wedding album for traditional wedding photography. Very posed structured portraits of both you and your new family and friends. This is great to document who was there and everyone all dressed up, but typically is a very small part of the wedding day.
I really strive to achieve something in between. Getting the shot without pushing too hard. Shooting moments as they happen without my involvement of setting them up. But also making sure to nail down more traditional family and group portraits. I really try to mix formal portraits with informal candids and plenty of detail and scenic shots. I'm pretty flexible and always try to make sure you enjoy your wedding day without me being too pushy but still get great images.
